Hi...lastnight I have problem with phoneline.....so...I cant access internet...and today I really happy to share what I read and know about Internet. I hope all netter will reads
The Internet Phenomenon
There is more to life than increasing its speed, but in today’s business world it is certainly a key driver. increasing speed, streamlining process, globalizing markets-these are at the heart of the internet phenomenon, a phenomenon that began to hit the business scene only a few years ago, and one which is already beginning to turn the business world upside down.
Frightening as the pace of change may appear to be, it is even more frightening when you consider the background against which it has happened. In the approach to the year 2000, many organizations were focusing their energies on defending themselves against the millennium bug. However, in spite of the circumstances, the internet phenomenon was happening.
The internet was conceived back in 1969 to allow information to be shared between computers. Since then it has slowly matured, slowly grown, and then during the 1990 an explosion took place. We have moved from an age where each computer basically acted on its own, to an age where computers communicate, and can work together-across the globe.
Of course, it is not just the internet that has created the revolution of e-business. Many factors have converged to make this possible, but the internet has been the driving force behind enabling computers to work together.
Enabling computer to work together has meant that new ways of working have become possible-and many more are still to be explored. The internet enables you to:
Obtain information on just about anything (including research material, training material, competitor analysis, travel, trade publications, office services and supplies) using the vast library of electronic pages that form the World Wide Web.
Publish information (such as product catalogues, service details, answers to customers’ frequently asked questions (FAQs), prices and price structures, promotions, sponsored events and so on)
Download/distribute software (and any other items that can be stored electronically)
Buy and sell products and services
Link to other sites (and so attract revenue from agreement forged with the link sites)
Provide customer support – assembly instructions, tips, software upgrades and bug fixes, details of accessories, fault diagnosis and correction
Communicate rapidly across the globe using email, pc conference, live chat with web video and so on
Recruit new staff
Offer new product or services
** Now I just online at home to check bank statement.

What Is The Internet?
The term Internet is one of those terms that you know when you see it but hard to define. If you ask the question to 100 person, maybe you can get 100 answers. User can play games, watch movie, chatting with freinds, deals business and make money with internet. www.encyclopedia.com defines the internet as international computer network linking together thousands of individual networks at military and government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, industrial and financial corporations of all sizes, and commercial enterprises (called gateways or service providers) that enabl individuals to access the internet.
In 1980, the internet was merely a research project, but by 1985 it was becoming a viable network system. Experimental TCP/IP software was available for several brands of computers. a handful of universities and research labs had copies of the TCP/IP software, and were using it every day. The internet reached researchers at a dozen academic and industrial research labs.
